See your business research notes for this response.  A critical angle that is sometimes overlooked is that it is important to give the impression (supported by reasonable evidence) that the way the company works is how you see yourself working. Give two reasons.

Suggested answer 2 – I think as a small fast-growing company in a highly competitive industry, there will be great opportunities for learning and professional development. Also as you know Standard Distrionics exceeded its sector in the ‘Best Places to Work’ survey in the New York Times

Where do you see yourself in 5 year’s time

Answering the needs of this ‘interview question well involves being neither too ambitious nor too pedestrian. Indicate a desire to grow a realistic goal for the year or attaining a higher level (if any). If the position is an end in itself (as a graphic artist or a trade as a mechanic perhaps) then insist that the hope is to improve and excel with the company helping you be the best you can be in this role.

What can you bring to the Standard Distrionics role? 

This can be quite a tough interview question.Look at the job description beforehand and comment upon your relevant experience in the sector. Experience is generally a good thing, but it must be balanced with flexibility and career development (Being the Engineering manager of Ron Davies and Son for 15 years may look like a career cul-de-sac, this solid experience must be tempered by evidence of recent developments and changes in practice, especially if they have been directed by you).

The interview question response should include, if possible two character traits and other positive competencies.

Sample answer 2 (soft skills and positive attributes). I am an enthusiastic and proactive worker with well developed skills around people who could make a positive contribution to an organization that is (to paraphrase the mission statement or ethical aim here) at the forefront of your industry
